Ulla-Britt Reeves, Regional Program Director, Southern Alliance for Clean Energy

Ulla serves as Southern Alliance for Clean Energy’s regional program director based in the Asheville, North Carolina office. She joined SACE in 1999 and opened the Asheville office in 2004. Ulla oversees regional global warming initiatives in North Carolina, Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina and Georgia at both the state and federal decision-making levels. She also oversees the organization’s High Risk Energy program to run state-based coal campaigns focused on stopping new coal plant development. Ulla supports the management and operations of the Southeast Coastal Climate Network and the Florida Climate Alliance. Ulla is on the boards of the Clean Air Community Trust in Asheville and Peacework International Volunteer Programs out of Blacksburg, VA. Previously, Ulla was the program manager for Peacework. She also worked on minority educational initiatives in SW Virginia and held two consecutive positions as office coordinator for campus recycling services at the University of Oregon and Virginia Tech. Ulla has a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Virginia Tech and a Masters of Environmental Management from Duke University’s Nicholas School of the Environment; her masters thesis focused on climate adaptation strategies for Southeast coastal communities.
