Colin Hagan, Guest Blogger and former Federal Policy Associate, Southern Alliance for Clean Energy

Colin HaganBefore starting law school at Vermont School of Law in the fall of 2009, Colin assisted with federal policy advocacy for the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy, focusing on a variety of energy and climate policy issues.  In 2007, Colin was awarded a Compton Mentor Fellowship to study the effects of climate change in South Carolina and coordinate an outreach project.  Prior to the Fellowship, he served as the Watershed Conservation Intern at Upstate Forever and as a Legal Assistant Intern at Sammons and Parker, P.C.  Colin has also interned in the office of U.S. Senator Lindsey O. Graham (R-SC) and has worked on a variety of issue-advocacy and political campaigns.  Colin currently serves as a volunteer member of the Greenville Vision 2025 Environment Taskforce.  He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and English, with honors, from Furman University in Greenville, SC and is currently studying environmental law at Vermont Law School in South Royalton, VT.
