Energy Grants Available Now for Farmers and Small Rural Businesses

The United States Department of Agriculture's office of Rural Development administers the REAP grant program, among other clean energy incentives.

This morning USDA announced they are inviting applications for grants for rural energy efficiency and renewable energy projects.  The REAP grant program supports installation of EE and RE equipment on farms and at small rural businesses with cost-share grants up to 25% of the total project cost.

This next deadline is July 7.  If you can’t meet this summer’s deadline, you can begin planning today for the October deadline.  To find the contact for your state USDA office, click here.
